If your company is looking to create a long term webinar program, a network of webinar presenters is critical.
The content of the webinars will come from your Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). These SMEs may be internal employees if they qualify but likely many will be external. Building a network of webinar presenters will be critical to long term success of the program.
Long term webinar programs will include a dedicated network of SMEs who are available on call, on an ongoing basis – not one off webinar events.
It is recommended to start small, selecting the one area of content you would like to build webinars on, and find 1-3 webinar presenters in that area that are qualified to produce the content.
Your internal content team should be responsible for setting the webinar content agenda, but it is advisable to also take advice and suggestions from the SMEs.
The content agenda will help guide the scheduling of your webinar events. For example, you may want to start with one webinar for each subject area you are interested in covering, or you may want to create a series of webinars on one topic as to create a “course”.
Generally, the topic is provided to the webinar presenters and they are responsible for creating the webinar outline, the title, and description. These are then reviewed by your internal content team for approval.
Steps to Create a Webinar Presenters Network
- Create agreed upon guidelines as to what qualifies someone as a webinar presenter SME.
- Vet and interview SMEs.
- Determine payment if applicable.
- Obtain a signed agreement/contract outline your use and permission of the content.
